Three Simple Ways to Install Vertical Blinds

Vertical blinds are easy to install, but before buying one, a proper plan is necessary to get them perfect. These blinds can be either installed inside or outside. Sometimes, brackets can also be used. Here are the best methods to install vertical blinds:

Method 1: Internal Mounting (Inside Window Frame)

In this method, holes have to be screwed into the valence. The L – shaped valence must be kept on a working table and from each edge, make a marking from 3 inches. The screw holes can be finally marked. There will be 2 holes in each bracket, making a total of 4. These holes can be predrilled and then finally the valence can be screwed to the inside of the window frame.  Markings on the window frame must be similar to the holes drilled on the valence.

Followed, by this, the brackets must be attached, 4 inches away from each end. Then, the head rail can be fixed and the vanes can be attached.

Method 2: External Mounting (Outside the Window frame)

This is more or less similar to the previous method, but it is a bit complicated. First, the head rail has to be installed. The location of the head rail must be decided. The blinds will reach a point below the window. The desired level at which the blind must reach down has to be marked.

Now, measure the height of the blinds. From the point below the window, the height of the blinds should be marked upwards. This is the location of the head rail. Then, the position of the brackets must be marked. From each end of the head rail, drill holes from 4 inches according to the design of the brackets. Now, the brackets can be screwed and fixed. The head rail should be attached, followed by the vanes. Finally, the valence can be added.

Method 3: Simple Way of Attaching Vanes

Most people find it difficult when it comes to attaching vanes. Here is a simple method. After the head rail is attached, the cord should be pulled to increase the space between the stems. Now, the vanes can be very easily attached. In case the slits, are not visible, they can be rotated in the convenient direction. After the vanes are attached, the cord can be pulled to get them closer.

These are the best methods to install vertical blinds. They are simple, accurate, and suitable for almost any set up.

Choose Eyelet Curtains for Flexibility, Affordability and Beauty

As there are so many different styles of curtains available in the market today, it gets difficult for a consumer to make the right choice. Eyelet curtains are one of the most widely used varieties in many homes due to their distinctive styles and designs. One of the best benefits of these curtains is their ease of opening and closing. Plus, you can never go wrong with a beautiful visual backdrop in your home.

Why Eyelets?

The name eyelets are given to the curtains as there are round eyelets on top of the fabric of the curtain, starting at about one inch from the top. These curtains offer a clean look and completely cover your windows. You can buy eyelet curtains online for all your doors and windows as they are available in a wide range of sizes and styles.

Different Styles for Different Needs

The eyelets are sewn directly in the fabrics so usually, they are made of lighter materials to avoid rips and tears in the curtain. For residential use, it is best to opt for lighter material as you can open and close them easily as and when you please. In a more formal setting, the curtains are made with heavier materials like velvet or faux suede to create a more elegant look. However, this is more suitable for places where you don’t need to open the curtains very often.

No matter what material and design you choose, these curtains offer great flexibility and unmatched elegance in any setting. Plus, they are quite inexpensive, so they can be changed quite often to enjoy new styles and designs!

Go for Eyelet Curtains to Transform Your Home

Are you feeling it is high time your curtains need a complete makeover and are you looking around for something really different and trendy? Curtains have become a statement reflecting your style and social standing.  So it is imperative that you go in for something that reflects class and elegance. One of the most popular rages in the curtain world today is eyelet curtains. They not only look trendy but are extremely easy to hang up too. They can transform your house with a totally new look and make your neighbours green with envy.

Eyelet curtains now available in an amazing range of colours and vibrant designs are normally made from extremely light weight material and give your room a total transformation. Gone are the days when you had a tough time with your curtains getting stuck whenever you try moving them and all the pleats get into a tangled mess. Eyelet curtains are an ideal solution to all these problems.

Eyelet curtains are very easy to put up as you just require a bar to hang them up through the eyelets that are present on the curtain’s top portion. You do not require those curtain hooks that are a real pain to hook up. Good news is that your curtain rods are also visible when you hang up this eyelet curtain which makes decorative rods also visible. They look absolutely stunning no matter where you hang them be it your bedroom, kitchen or drawing room.

You can either go in for ready-made eyelet curtains available in all home stores or buy curtain material and get eyelets done on them. You can make eyelet curtains yourself if you have a knack for stitching curtain fabrics.  They are available in all kinds of sizes you can choose according to how long and big your windows are. You will discover ready-made eyelet curtain tapes are available with circles marked at regular intervals which make the job of attaching eyelets quite easy. Eyelets manufactured from brass are metal rings and they can be purchased separately. All you need to do is just snap these metal rings onto the places marked on the tape and attach them to the curtain material.

Great news about these eyelet curtains is they are not extremely expensive and come at reasonable rates.
